All About Worktop Express Sinks: A Nutshell Guide
Our range of stainless steel undermounted Worktop Express® kitchen sinks are great value, and have been specifically chosen to complement our wide range of hardwood kitchen worktops. In this guide you will find information about the types of sinks we offer and what differentiates them.
Choose Your Sink Type
Our collection includes three main styles to consider, with a variety of options depending on the space available in your kitchen, and how much flexibility you require around the sink.
Compact undermounted single bowl sinks are perfect for small galley kitchens where space is limited, but are still big enough to comfortably fit a standard-sized washing-up bowl, or for cleaning vegetables prior to cooking.
Our variety of large undermounted single bowl sinks look very similar, but are extra wide to provide ample space for washing up or any other chores in larger households.
For additional space whilst the main bowl is in use, our collection also includes a number of 1.5 bowl sinks. These – as the name suggests – have a secondary bowl which is no more than half of the size of the main bowl. Depending which range you choose, some are exactly the same depth and height as the main bowl, whilst others offer a smaller secondary bowl that allows more flexible positioning of the sink’s accompanying tap.
Square Edge or Rounded Sink?
After deciding upon which size of sink will best suit your space, you can then choose from a variety of three different aesthetics to complement the look of your kitchen and worktop choice.
Fabricating Worktops for Worktop Express Sinks
One of the most handy reasons to buy kitchen sinks from Worktop Express® alongside your chosen wooden worktops, is that – thanks to our bespoke cutting service – we can pre-cut a hole for your chosen sink using precision machinery. Your worktops will then be finished by hand at our Gloucestershire fabrication facility.
This service is priced at just £40 per cut out and includes a soft profile on the top edge of the aperture.
Should you require, our team can also pre-drill tap holes, route drainage grooves and make a variety of other worktop alterations, meaning your new kitchen worktop is ready to install almost immediately after delivery.
