“What makes our collection of ‘Deluxe’ wood kitchen workbenches special?” Question of the Week 14.03.15

“What makes our collection of ‘Deluxe’ wood kitchen workbenches special?”
March’s latest ‘Question of the Week’ was sent in by Harriet in Dudley. She is considering new wood kitchen workbenches for her kitchen and is intrigued by our Deluxe collection, but wants to know what it is that sets them apart
QUESTION:
“I have been looking at your worktops for a while now, trying to make up my mind as to which worktops would look best in my kitchen. I started off looking at the standard worktops, but I notice you also do a number of ‘Deluxe’ worktops. What is it that makes these surfaces so special?”
ANSWER:
Hi Harriet,
We don’t blame you for wanting to take some time to choose your new wooden worktops; there are so many beautiful hardwood timbers that picking the perfect species to suit your kitchen can sometimes be tough.
Our Deluxe worktops should definitely be considered, as they are constructed from chunky individual staves that are 90mm in width – more than double the width of the 40mm staves found in our standard collection of worktops.
If you are choosing oak worktops for your kitchen, we offer both Deluxe Oak and Deluxe Prime Oak worktops. Both have their own appeal, with the standard form showing off the natural variation and beautiful grain of oak timber, whilst the Prime option is made from staves that are more consistent in both colour and grain.
For a more unusual kitchen surface, consider either of our African timbers. Deluxe Iroko worktops are warm in colour and naturally anti-bacterial. In a Deluxe worktop configuration, the timber’s iridescence and unique figuring shine through, creating a surface that is ideal for both modern and country kitchens. Our Deluxe Zebrano worktops are simply unmistakable; each 90mm stave exquisitely shows off the rich golden timber and dark brown grain pattern.
Finally, think about one of our walnut worktop species. Deluxe European Walnut worktops have 90mm staves that show off an additional depth of colour and figuring, really showcasing the timber’s warmth. Alternatively, our Deluxe Black American Walnut worktops are even more luxurious in colour, with the stunning grain patterns becoming even more prominent thanks to the extra wide staves.
Deluxe worktops start at just £175, combining the great value of a multi-stave construction with the appeal of an extra wide plank.

All the best,
