All About Laminate Table Tops
If you are looking for a new or replacement table top, we offer an affordable but no less stylish alternative to solid wood. Laminate table tops are hardwearing and contemporary, making them ideal for homes, restaurants and bars. In this guide, we take a look at their composition, their different styles and how they can be used.
Material
Each of our table tops is made from high-quality composite wooden particle board covered with a durable and decorative laminate layer. It is sealed on to the wooden particle board using pressure and heat. Each table top is 22mm thick and has been covered by a durable ABS edge which protects it from general wear and tear. These table tops are also hygienic and easy to clean, only requiring a dilute solution of soap and water and a clean, lint-free cloth.
Style
We offer three styles of table tops white, oak and black wenge. Each offers a different aesthetic and can be used in various design schemes. For example, white laminate tables are better suited to contemporary rooms whereas the wood effect laminate tables are suitable for more traditional styles.
Shape
The shape is also an important factor to consider. We offer round, square and rectangular shapes so that you can be sure to find the perfect one for your space. Certain shaped tables will fit better into one room compared to another – square tables can be placed in corners whereas round tables are more suitable in the centre of a room. It is all dependant on the layout of your room, what you want to use the table for and how many people will use it.
Bases
Our table tops do not come with legs so we also offer a range of table top bases. You can choose from twin or single leg table bases in either aluminium or cast iron. A Twin leg table base offers more stable support compared to the single leg version and aluminium is more contemporary than cast iron.
Our laminate table tops start at £29 and if you order them by noon they will be dispatched and delivered for FREE the very next day via our 2man delivery team.
