All of our European timber is manufactured and sourced in Europe, whilst our more exotic timbers are responsibly sourced from legal and verified sources in their country of origin. As it passes through fewer hands, not only does this help reduce the carbon footprint and increase the quality of the timber, but it also ensures that we never need to purchase lesser quality timber manufactured in China.
As the UK's leading online worktop specialist, Worktop Express recommends that you place a sample of our wood next to any competitor's example, and we are confident that the difference will be plain to see - even compared those that cost much more. We will refund the cost of our solid wood worktop samples against the price of solid wood surfaces purchased on a like-for-like basis. Our solid wood samples are priced at £5 and are available in 200mm × 150mm × 40mm sections and - for selected timbers - 200mm × 150mm × 27mm sections. This price includes both VAT & fast courier delivery.
Our samples are fully sanded and have been finished with one coat of Rustins Danish Oil on the top side to provide a realistic indication of the finished product; the bottom side is unfinished so that you may see the timber in its natural form. If you do decide to place an order, simply call one of our helpful sales advisors and mention that you have previously placed a sample order with us, so that the cost can be discounted against your worktop order.
