These shelves are manufactured from the same sturdy timber as our oak worktops, making them a fantastic choice for long-lasting shelves in your kitchen or office. Complete with the distinguished grain pattern and golden colour typical of oak, this timber makes for attractive wooden shelving that is at home in either a traditional or contemporary setting.
This particular range of solid oak shelving is available in two thickness options - 30mm or 40mm - allowing you to choose between a 'slimline' or 'chunky' aesthetic. Each shelf sports clean-cut square edges, and is sanded to a fantastically smooth 150 grit finish. All shelves are then given three coats of HABiol Oil to enhance the natural features of the wood and ensure that it looks its best for years to come.
Our shelving is assembled from a series of 40mm wide staves, which are carefully finger-jointed together and high-pressure glued. By using this construction method, we are able to ensure that the shelves are incredibly robust and also visually appealing.
These floating shelves are pre-drilled for your convenience, and are ready to be mounted on two 'invisible' brackets. Hidden fixings allow the shelving to 'float' once attached to the wall, and look particularly superb in kitchens, offices, and dining rooms.
Our slimline oak floating shelves have an impressive appearance that cannot be beaten by cheaper softwood or laminate imitations. Diligently devised from only the finest-quality raw material, our shelves are highly resilient and showcase an abundance of charm. Small knots or splits can occasionally be present in real wood. However, this is very uncommon and is considered a naturally-occurring feature that adds to the unique personality of the wood.
