Walsall Leather Museum solid wood worktops. Walsall Arboretum solid wood worktops.

Six miles east of Wolverhampton, Walsall is a large, vibrant town with plenty to see and do. The city is fantastically well-connected with regards to the road networks, encircled by the M6 which gives excellent links to the M1 to London and M74 towards Glasgow.

Just outside the town centre you will find the Walsall Arboretum. As tree-lovers ourselves, this destination is a particular favourite of ours! The arboretum has a fantastic boating lake, and plenty of opportunities to feed the ducks. The site originally opened as a public park in 1874 and, now stretching over 73.5 hectares, has become a verdant haven nestled within its urban surrounds.

The area prides itself on its Leather Museum, which paints the intricate history of the leather industry throughout the Black Country region in which Walsall sits. Packed with information about the area's heritage, a guided tour of this museum reveals a good deal about how Walsall came to be the thriving town that it is today.
