Worktop Irregular Cut Out

We offer the irregular cut out service for any cut-to-size measurements that cannot be completed by our Homag saw, along with anything that needs to be cut by hand including chamfered corners, cut outs for pillars or posts and taper cuts.

Taper Cut

A taper cut is applied at an angle so that one end of the worktop becomes wider than the other. To help our team when they are creating a CAD drawing of your order and cutting your worktop, you need to supply us with the length of your timber and the size of the angle you require it to be cut to.

When providing such information, the customer must ensure that the dimensions and the location of the cut out are as exact as possible so that our team can complete the order with precision. This ensures that no problems arise during the measuring and placement of the required cut outs.

Worktop Customisation Services

Installation

Our pre-oiling service is mandatory when you choose our worktop fabrication service. Freshly cut timber becomes susceptible to changes in air temperature, moisture and humidity, so timber must be sealed shortly after cutting to prevent this from occurring.

Please note: even though we pre-oil your worktop ready for installation, please view our worktop installation guide for details on recommended oiling procedures and general maintenance tips for your worktop.

And Finally…

Upon fixing your worktop, the irregular cut out will not be visible as the worktop should blend seamlessly with the item(s) it has been cut to accommodate. For your convenience, the offcuts from your irregular cut out are also despatched with the rest of your order.
