There are several steps that must be undertaken in order to produce these splendid shelves: first, we sustainably source and machine the timber in Europe; next, we transport the shelves to our Gloucestershire workshop, where they are expertly sanded, oiled and carefully hand-finished by our skilled team.
This wall mounted oak shelf measures 1500mm x 200mm x 18mm, which provides plenty of additional storage space. Our shelves are made from a number of 40mm wide staves, which are finger-jointed and high-pressure glued to maximise strength. For a high-quality finish, each shelf is sanded to a 150 grit smoothness and given three coats of Danish oil, providing added resilience and enhancing the stunning qualities of the grain.
These 1500mm storage shelves are ready to be mounted on a wall of your choice. We recommend that you use four wall brackets to support the shelf, which can be purchased separately on our site.
Solid oak shelves are a beautiful addition to any home, and are considerably better quality than cheaper veneer alternatives. Minor knots or splits may occasionally be present in oak, though these are rare and only serve to enhance the beautiful natural characteristics of the timber.
