Mixed Maple & Walnut end grain butcher block worktops are formed by joining and pressure bonding a similar amount of both Maple and Walnut staves in a vertical formation. This is in direct contrast to standard worktops, where staves are finger joined horizontally. By constructing the worktop in a vertical formation, the end grain of the timber is now used as the working area, which creates an extremely hardwearing, durable and tactile surface suitable for direct cutting and meat preparation. The end grain of the worktop, which is not usually visible on a standard kitchen installation, is also blessed with a unique depth to its grain pattern.

Our end grain worktops are supplied in a chunky 100mm thickness, to create a real statement finish. We stock butcher blocks in a variety of species to suit all requirements. Our end grain butcher blocks are available in a 1000mm X 620mm X 100mm square section, or a 620mm diameter X 100mm circular design. End grain worktops can be cut on site to create the desired size, alternatively we can offer a bespoke service for different sizes / thicknesses, which can typically be delivered within 5 weeks from confirmation of diagram. Please note, we do not currently offer a fabrication service for butcher block end grain worktops.
