Unlike traditional laminate which has a chipboard core, compact laminate - or solid laminate - is constructed from bonded layers sealed with a high-resistance overlay. This creates a much thinner 12mm profile that is 100% waterproof and significantly more durable, making it a premium alternative to standard laminate worktops.
