Top Ten Questions About Worktop Delivery: Answered!
At Worktop Express®, we want to ensure that your experience with us is as smooth as possible. Delivery is one of the most important steps so we have provided a number of delivery choices to meet the needs of our customers. This information guide contains some of the most frequently asked questions regarding our service, with suggestions as to which option is best suited to you.
Please note: after every question we have provided one or two ‘options’ for delivery based on the most suitable choice. Please be aware that when you proceed to the checkout, the choices may not be numbered as they are in this guide. The numbered options in this guide correspond with those on our worktop delivery page where each service is explained in further detail for your benefit.
If you require a delivery option that is not available at the checkout, we recommend that you call a member of our team and arrange this over the phone.
1. What is your 2Man delivery service?
Created in 2011, our 2Man delivery team is an exclusive facet of the Worktop Express® service. We created our own delivery fleet – utilising an in-house team of drivers and staff – so we could provide you with the most expansive and easiest delivery straight from our warehouse. With a success rate of over 99%, our 2Man service has an excellent satisfaction record with customers; moreover, we cover the vast majority of the country and are always looking to expand our fleet. On the day of delivery the team of two will give you a half an hour courtesy call to let you know they are on their way and, upon arrival, will offload your items into any ground floor room of your choice.

2. Can I get next day delivery on my items?
If your order is placed before 12 noon, next day delivery is available for most areas in the UK. Either our 2Man team or an external overnight courier service will deliver your items.
-Quick and easy: at checkout we recommend delivery option one – our premium Worktop Express® 2Man Service or delivery option two – our Overnight Courier.
3. Can I get my goods delivered for a specific time or at the weekend?
Our partner service provides a number of specific delivery options including pre-9.30am. This allows our customers to receive their goods whenever is best suited to them.
-Your delivery option is: number two – our Overnight Courier.
4. What do I do if my items need delivering to Scotland, Highlands, Grampians, off shore islands or Ireland?
Although not provided by our own 2Man team, we can deliver to these areas using either of our main external courier services. However there will be an extended delivery time and surcharge.
-You can choose: delivery option three (recommended) – our External Specialist Two-Man Courier or delivery option two– our Overnight Courier.
5. I have ordered some high value worktops such a wenge or zebrano and your 2Man team does not offer delivery to my area?
As we are unable to send some of our high value goods with our overnight courier, we are also working in partner with a specialist two-man courier service that can deliver to the whole of the UK. With this courier, you will receive a two hour time slot for delivery along with a thirty minute courtesy call prior to arrival.
-Delivery from afar: option three – our External Specialist Two-Man Courier.
6. Can you carry my items into the house?
Yes – with our own 2Man service. A huge benefit of our in-house team is that our experienced drivers are able to offload the worktops and move them into any ground floor room of your choice.
Please note: our team are unable to deliver to any other floor level – if this is required, please ensure there is someone at your property that can do this for you.
-Home delivery: option one – Worktop Express® 2Man Service.
7. Do I have to wait at the property all day for my delivery?
If your worktops are being delivered by our 2Man delivery team or the External Specialist Two-Man Courier, you will receive a two hour timeslot to reduce waiting time, along with a thirty minute courtesy call on the day of delivery – just enough time to pop home from work and put the kettle on! Delivery through our overnight courier will require you to be at the property between 8am and 6pm to receive delivery.

8. Do you care about the environment and want to reduce unnecessary waste?
With all standard orders, reusable packaging is utilised meaning that upon arrival, our team will unpack your goods, allowing you to inspect the quality. We take the packaging back to our warehouse for future use, minimising the amount of waste being created. The only exception is for items modified using our bespoke cutting service; however we are developing this service also to utilize our reusable packaging. Our external two-man courier sends your worktops in reusable packaging too.
-Protecting the environment: option one – Worktop Express® 2Man Service or option three – External Specialist Two-Man Courier.
9. The lead time for your external two-man courier is too long for delivery of my worktops, is there an alternative?
We do have an alternative, faster courier service that can deliver high value items to you as soon as the next day. However, you would have to contact us and request this delivery as it would be subject to a surcharge based upon price on application.
A quicker delivery for high value items: specially requested – Specialist Overnight Service.
10. How much will I be charged for delivery of my items?
The delivery charges are consistent across all standard delivery options. Prices for the first worktop start at £25 and each additional worktop is just £15 each. Any installation accessories or upstands and plinths are free of charge when delivered with a worktop and start from £10 if ordered individually. Non-standard options which cater for specific timings or weekend delivery requests are subject to a surcharge – please contact us if you require one of these services.

Is there any possibility that you could deliver Iroko to France. We love this wood and have ordered for the UK previously.

Thank you for your comment on our blog.
We can deliver worktops to France as we have an international courier with twice weekly departures from the UK. The delivery time is typically 4-6 working days from departure.
If you would like a quotation, please let us know the full address for delivery in France and the worktop sizes/quantities required, and we can then obtain a quotation from the courier.
