Textured (Matt) – textured matt surfaces provide a realistic imitation of a natural finish. A durable option, this finish will disguise any scratches or marks that may appear.

COMPOSITION AND MANUFACTURE

Solid laminate worktops are available in a selection of sizes to suit a range of homes. Their ultra-thin 12mm profile is pre-finished on every side ensuring they are ready for installation upon arrival.

These worktops are created by bonding several layers of kraft paper together with a decorative sheet on both the top and bottom and are sealed with a high-resistant overlay to ensure they are robust enough to withstand life in even the busiest of kitchens. Requiring no edging strips, the core of the surface is visible around the edges and in any cuts or alterations that are made on the surface.

The solid composition of the worktops makes them suitable for use with undermounted sinks and allows them to have drainage grooves routed into them. Unlike traditional laminate worktops, they can also have curved edges for a sleek, contemporary look.

Completely waterproof thanks to their solid construction, these worktops have been tested against water, steam stains and chemical products. Solid laminate worktops are also resistant against impact up to 500g from a maximum 2m drop (excluding sharp objects) and have abrasion resistance up to 400 revolutions in the Taber Abraser test. They are also heat resistant to 220° for 10 minutes and have been tested to meet EN438 standards.
