Choosing the right grain and tone is essential for achieving your desired kitchen aesthetic. You can order worktop samples for our entire wooden worktops range directly online - we highly recommend doing this to see how the natural timber interacts with the lighting in your home.
Yes - whether you need a specific length or complex shape for a kitchen island, our online Bespoke Worktop Tool allows you to customise your order. If you use our customisation service, select 'Create Offcut' from the Tools when cutting to size and we'll include all the offcuts from your timber so you can repurpose them for smaller home projects.
Whenever you customise your worktop using our Worktop Customisation Tool, we will send you all of the pieces that are removed in order to create your perfect shape. Unfortunately, we do not hold or sell any offcuts separately our customer always receives all of the worktop they purchase (apart from any non-viable slivers!). If you want a smaller piece of worktop, our bathroom worktops, are a great option for people looking for a small worktop section.
As a natural product, every stave in a wooden worktops is individually unique and no two will ever be identical - however - we will always do our best to check every order with multiple wooden worktops to ensure the grain formation and colour consistency are a suitable match before they leave our warehouse. We always recommend our customers do a final 'dry fit' and match-check before you begin oiling or installing your wooden worktop.

Yes - wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with your home's humidity. We recommend using slotted brackets or stretcher plates which allow for a few millimetres of natural movement. You can find more detail in our wood worktop installation guide.
Simply wipe down with warm, soapy water and dry immediately. To keep your wooden surface looking its best, we recommend regularly oiling your worktop - you can conduct a 'bead test' to see if further oiling is required - if water doesn't form as droplets on the surface, it’s time for a quick maintenance coat of oil.
To protect the integrity of the wood, we recommend oiling your surfaces immediately upon receipt with Osmo TopOil. If you aren't installing right away, store your wooden worktops flat on bearers in a damp-free environment. This prevents the timber from bowing and ensures it stays level for your fitters.
