By using only the latest machinery and cutting methods, coupled with traditional best practice, our bespoke cutting service saves you both time and money. Although wood worktops can be fitted with limited knowledge, our templating service will ensure that all worktops are cut and finished to your exact demands, with absolutely no compromise.
Our standard lead time for bespoke orders is approximately 5 working days (from confirmed diagram), depending on current workload. Please do call if you have an urgent enquiry as we may just be able to accommodate your request.
Although our fabrication service may also appear as excellent value for money, rest assured that your worktops will arrive promptly, cut to your exact requirements with defining precision.

Pre-oiling Service :
All worktops will be fully sealed with at least three coats to the top & bottom side, with six coats applied to the edges & endgrains.
Our pre-oiling service is mandatory when any other bespoke fabrication options are requested. We recommend that a further 1L of oil is purchased to adequately maintain and care for wood worktops in the future.
Price - £10.00 / metre (Includes material costs).
Cut-to-Size :
We can professionally cut worktops to size (both width & length) to exact dimensions (mm). The cut edge will also be refinished.
We use the highest quality Homag saw to ensure an accurate and perpendicular cut, and we also service our machine blades weekly to allow for consistent repeat cutting.
Price - £15.00 for 1st cut, discounted rate for multiple cuts.
Edge Profiling :
We offer a variety of different edge profiles that will allow you to customise the finish to perfection.
In our opinion, worktops complete with an edge profile do have a more "finished" appearance, although it is also popular to keep solid wood worktops square edged to create a chunky finish. As a general rule of thumb, an edge profile will create a smoother and more hardwearing edge, making the wood worktop less prone to damage from surface knocks or impact.
Edge-profiling should be considered if you opt for any ellipse ends or radius corners.
Our pencil top edge is the most popular option.
Price - £5.00 per linear metre.
Belfast Sink cut out :
We can professionally rout apertures for any size of belfast sink.
We use bespoke templates to ensure an accurate finish for each individual kitchen.
We will profile the inside top edge of the worktop to allow for adequate drainage, unless requested otherwise.
Price - £40.00 per cut out.
Overmounted Sink cut out :
Standard, overmounted sink apertures can be cut to your exact requirements.
Simply supply the aperture dimensions and we will rout accordingly.
We do recommend that at least 100mm is left from the end of the worktop to the start of the aperture, for stability and durability purposes.
Price - £40.00 per cut out.
Hob cut out :
Apertures for built-in hobs can be routed to any size.
We will also chisel the inside corners square if required.
We do recommend that at least 100mm is left from the end of the worktop to the start of the aperture, for stability and durability purposes.

Irregular cut out :
Every kitchen is unique, and our irregular cutout service accommodates this.
Whether you require cutouts for lights, electrical sockets, extractor fans or extruding walls / beams, our fabrication team are able to cut to exact dimensions.
Price - £20.00 per cut out.
Tap hole cut out :
We are able to cut tap holes to any supplied size.
Standard tap hole diameter is 35mm, please be sure to check the diameter required before we commence fabrication as several different sizes are available on the market.
We always cut slightly larger than required to allow for natural contraction / expansion.
Price - £7.50 per hole.
Ellipse Ends :
Ellipsed end worktops create a practical yet elegant surface, useful for informal meals or entertaining. The beauty of solid wood surfaces is that they can be cut and shaped to any imaginary size to create a wonderful feature.
Apply an ellipse end to breakfast bars, tabletops, islands or simply the freestanding end of a unit to create a functional area. We can rout an ellipse to any size radius, alternatively we can shape to a supplied template if required.
Price - £30.00 per ellipse.
Radius Corners :
Curved units are becoming increasingly popular and we offer a radius corner cutting service to accommodate this. Wooden kitchen worktops can be cut to precisely match any kitchen doors with radius corners, creating an even, smooth, streamlined finish.
We can cut to standard supplied manufacturer's radii, or bespoke sizes if required. Radius corners can also be added to the end of a row of units to provide a softer, safe finish, especially when young children are a concern.
Price - £20.00 per radius corner.
Drainage Grooves :
Drainage grooves exude a timeless class that is only possible with solid surfaces.
Our drainage grooves are tapered to allow for natural drainage.
It is highly recommended to choose at least one set of drainage grooves when opting for an undermounted or belfast sink.
Standard drainer groove length is 400mm, although we can accommodate longer / shorter lengths if required.
Price - £45.00 for 1st set of six, £65.00 for two pairs of six.
Butt Join :
Solid wood kitchen worktops should only be joined with a standard butt join. Mitre and 45° joins should not be used.
Our fabrication team will rout three apertures for worktop connector bolts to the underside of both worktops.
Once the worktops arrive on site, you will simply have to bolt the worktops together by tightening three worktop connector bolts (supplied).
We recommend inserting a worktop sealant between the worktops when joining to create a water resistant seal.
Price - £35.00 per join (Includes fixings).
Stainless Steel Hotrod Set :
Stainless steel hotrods create an elegant yet practical pan stand.
Our fabrication team will rout five apertures in a diamond formation, ready for the installation of a stainless steel hotrod set (supplied).
The hotrods can be left to sit in the recess, allowing easy cleaning, alternatively you can fix the hotrods in place with a sealant or adhesive if preferred.
Price - £40.00 per hotrod set (Includes hotrods).
End Caps :
End caps should be used when installing wooden worktops adjacent to freestanding ovens (Rangemaster, Aga, Rayburn etc).
End caps are created by cutting a worktop across the width, and then joining the offcut to the end of the worktop in question. This conceals the end grain, preventing this section from drying out and splitting over time as a result of prolonged exposure to excessive heat.
Worktop end caps also portray a "finished" look and are sometime requested purely as a feature.
Standard end cap length is 40mm, although bespoke sizes can also be created if required.
Price - £35.00 per end cap.
Moisture Barrier :
Worktop moisture barriers should be used for kitchens that incorporate undermounted appliances that emit large amounts of heat such as dishwashers, washing machines and fridges.
Moisture barriers are sections of specialist foil that are applied to the underside of the worktop directly above the appliance.
We recommend that moisture barriers are applied on site, using heat reflective tape or a suitable adhesive.
Price - £10.00 per moisture barrier.
Worktop Upstands :
Although not part of our fabrication service as such, we highly recommend that upstands are fitted to wooden worktops.
Solid wood upstands have a variety of benefits such as concealing the expansion gap, easing the fitting of worktop to out-of-square walls, as well as providing a seamless finish.
Upstands are available in all matching species in 3M X 80mm X 18mm sizes, please view the relevant timber page and the upstands are visible just below the list of worktop sizes.

Price - £20.00 + per 3M length (Dependent on species).
