How to Clean Earthstone Worktops
You will have seen our solid wood and laminate worktops, but we offer another type of surface that deserves your consideration. Our high-quality Earthstone worktops will look fantastic in your kitchen and provide many plus points – including a seamless, luxurious appearance, feeling cold like real stone, and requiring little maintenance.
Thanks to their construction, solid surface worktops are hygienic and easy to keep clean – making them perfect for high-use kitchens in family homes.
Regularly cleaning your worktops is very important for hygiene – a collection of the world’s leading virology, microbiology and infectious disease scientists have found that a kitchen worktop can be one of the most contaminated areas of the house. Cleaning is vital to ensure that bacteria cannot multiply in food preparation areas.
How to Clean Earthstone Worktops
- Spills and dirt can be cleaned with a clean cloth and soapy water or kitchen spray.
- Stains and dried-on dirt will need a stronger, natural cleaning solution.
- Make this cleaning solution with two small cups of water, ¼ of a cup of white vinegar and a tablespoon of washing up liquid.
- Decant the mixture into a clean spray bottle, and spray your whole worktop.
Leave for a few minutes and then wipe the spray off with a paper towel or microfibre cloth. Lemon juice can be used in place of vinegar if you would like a pleasant-smelling cleaner. However, you may have to rinse off the solution with water as it could become sticky.
Keep your beautiful Earthstone worktops looking their best by regularly wiping and cleaning the surface. Always use a chopping board when preparing food to avoid scratches appearing, and use a trivet, heat pad or route our hot rod sets into the worktop to prevent burn marks from hot pans. How to Clean Earthstone Sinks
If you have chosen one of our Earthstone worktops with an integrated sink, you will be pleased to know that the sink is equally easy to clean. Most staining can be taken care of by filling half the sink with bleach and diluting with water. Simply leave the sink full for around 15 minutes and then rinse off.
Persistently pouring boiling water down your Earthstone sink may leave it at risk of damage or deformation. You can prevent this by running the cold water tap for a few seconds after you have poured the hot water down it.
