This week, our latest ‘Question of the Week’ was sent in by Susan in Ipswich, who wanted to know if we provide matching chopping boards to go with the solid wood kitchen worktops she is ordering.

QUESTION:

“I have finally decided upon maple worktops as the ideal surface for my new kitchen, and wanted to know if you are able to provide a matching chopping board for me to prepare food on rather than risk scratching the wooden worktop?”

ANSWER:

Hi Susan,

We are glad to hear that you are planning on ordering maple worktops from us and thank you for sending in your query regarding chopping boards – we’d certainly advise purchasing a specific surface for cutting, as direct cutting would damage your new worktop.

We are pleased to say that we do indeed sell matching solid wooden chopping boards that will match beautifully with the maple worktops you have ordered.

Our chopping boards are currently available in 13 different types of timber – including maple – and are cut from the same high-quality material that is used to create each of our beautiful solid wood worktops.

Either consider a chopping board that matches your worktops, or something completely different such as wenge or black American walnut that would contrast nicely with the maple timber.

Each of our chopping boards measures 450mm x 300mm x 40mm and is finished with a smooth pencil edge profile along the top and bottom edges. We then sand each board to a silky finish and apply oil so that you may start using them immediately after receipt.

Our chopping boards start at just £20, and if you order one at the same time as your wooden worktops, there is no delivery charge, either!
