The Goldfinger factory is an award-winning social enterprise that offers a space for artisans to design and build bespoke furniture and interior using materials that might have otherwise gone into landfill. After having initially purchased some of our worktops to create some elegant furnishings, we recently formed an alliance with Goldfinger Factory to supply them with repurposed wood that we have been unable to sell due to damage or defects.
This social enterprise brings in the majority of its income from sales of their products, which furthers their social mission to support the local community of young crafters, artisans and artisans-to-be. Goldfinger Factory drives awareness of upcycling and provides the skills training necessary to offer a route for people to enter employment through creative empowerment.
Products made using our wood worktops are for sale on the Goldfinger factory website, and have been used in a variety of London interior installations, such as in Pamban Café at Camden Market (above).
The Goldfinger Factory is just one of the many projects Worktop Express has supported in order to drive sustainability and give back to communities. Our most successful community project has seen the planting of well over 100,000 trees at locations in England and Africa through the International Tree Foundation. You can find out more about this on our environmental policy page.
