Full hardwood worktop sample service... We offer a free hardwood worktop sample service on our full range of solid wood worktops. We are confident that our wooden kitchen worktops are the highest quality available on the market. All of our European timber is manufactured and sourced from Central Europe, and our exotic timber range is also manufactured in its place of origin. This not only helps reduce the carbon footprint, as well as increase the quality of the timber as it passes through less hands, but it also ensures that we do not purchase timber manufactured in China. Many companies claim that worktops manufactured in China are the same quality, but the truth is far from it. Our staff benefit from years of experience of working with wood worktops, and they have seen first hand the quality difference. Lamentation, dead wood, splitting, the list is endless. Iroko from China, for example, is far paler and much more bland than proper African Iroko. Wenge worktops are so different that they appear as a different species, and on many occasions they are! Chinese Oak, and even "European Oak Worktops" manufactured in China suffer a similar fate. It is essential when purchasing online to investigate a product before you purchase, and this is one of the main reasons that we provide a full sample service.

We positively encourage you to place a sample of our wood next to a competitors' example, even those that charge three times the price, and we are confident that the difference will be plain to see. Therefore, if you spend in excess of £150.00 on a future worktop order we will rebate the cost of any sample orders on a one-for-one basis. Our solid wood samples are priced at £5.00 for a 200mm X 150mm X 40mm section. This price includes both VAT & delivery.

Our samples are fully sanded and have been finished with one coat of oil to the top side to provide a valid indication of the finished article. The bottom side is unfinished so that you may see the timber in its natural form. If you do proceed to place an order, simply call one of our helpful sales advisors and mention that you have previously placed a sample order with ourselves. This amount can then be discounted against the worktop order.
