Cherry 3M X 80 X 18mm Worktop Upstand
Solid wood upstands are a great way to finish wooden worktop installations. They provide an elegant yet efficient alternative to tiling down to the worktop surface.
Upstands help wooden worktops blend into the overall kitchen design and they also hide the small 5mm expansion gap between the worktop and the wall that is required when installing solid wood worktops.
Upstands are also beneficial when fitting timber worktops to out-of-square-walls as they prevent the need for the worktops to be cut-down-size, concealing any small gaps that would otherwise become apparent.
Unlike other upstands available on the market, our upstands are supplied perfectly square and can therefore be fitted immediately to create a square-edged chunky look, or alternatively you may profile the top edge to your requirements. Rebated upstands are not suitable for wooden worktops as they obstruct natural movement and will not hide the expansion gap required.
