Caramel Bamboo 3m Wooden Worktop Upstand

Caramel bamboo upstands are produced from the same sustainable timber that is used for our caramel bamboo worktops; ideal for providing an alternative to tiling down to the surface of your worktops and finishing solid wood worktop installations in style.

Matching caramel bamboo upstands are perfect for blending your worktops into the overall kitchen design, whilst also hiding the small 5mm expansion gap that should be left between worktops and adjacent walls.

Caramel bamboo kitchen upstands are necessary when fitting timber worktops against uneven walls, as they help to cover any small gaps that would otherwise be apparent.

Our solid caramel bamboo kitchen worktop upstands are provided in a square construction and so can be easily fitted to create a chunky square-edged look (alternatively, other edge profiles are available on request).

When cutting caramel bamboo worktops to size, you may notice the occasional appearance of small gaps within the exposed cross-section of the cut edge. This is not a manufacturing fault but a natural occurrence due to the bamboo's layered construction. You will find this is easily remedied with a small application of an appropriate filler.

Please note: This item should not be fitted directly behind a hob without additional protection. Please refer to the hob manufacturer's guidelines to ensure that your installation complies with safety standards.

All of our solid wood upstands are pre-sanded and untreated as standard. We advise using Rustins Danish Oil during the installation process to seal your wooden upstand. Should you wish to take advantage of our pre-oiling service, please contact our customer service team.
