We offer a variety of worktop customisations to meet the unique requirements of each of our customers. Having your laminate kitchen worktops cut to size is a quick and easy process. Saving our customers the time and effort of cutting on-site, our experienced fabrication team can create made-to-measure worktops to meet precise specifications; once your own bespoke worktop diagram has been confirmed, we can have laminate worktops cut to size and delivered in just 3-5 working days.
Using cutting-edge technology and only the best practices, our bespoke worktop cutting service offers optimum precision. In addition to cutting your laminate countertop to the exact length required, we can also create cut-outs - for overmounted sinks, built-in hobs and taps - and join two worktops together with a mason's mitre joint. We also offer a laminate edging strip application service, saving you the time and effort of attaching these after installation.
Ordering custom worktops is easy: simply email our fabrication team at , or complete our contact form to request a quote.
When we receive an order for a bespoke laminate worktop, our fabrication team create a diagram that depicts the exact customisations to be made. We require your confirmation of the diagram before cutting your worktop, to ensure all details are correct. The lead time from diagram confirmation is calculated from:
We can professionally cut laminate worktops to size, in both width and length.
By using equipment of only the highest quality, we can guarantee an accurate and perpendicular cut. Our machinery is regularly serviced to maintain the high standards of our worktop cutting service.
Prices above are for first cut and charged at the discounted rate for multiple cuts.
Worktop edging strips should be carefully attached to the exposed edges of laminate worktops with glue, clamped in place and left to dry. Then, they need to be filed down to meet the edge of the work surface.
To save customers the time and trouble of doing this themselves, we are pleased to offer a worktop edging strip application service. This affordable service takes the hassle out of worktop installation and guarantees a professional finish, leaving you with more time to sit back and enjoy the look of your new kitchen work surface.
Worktops are supplied with two edging strips as standard, one of which will be used when this service is chosen (so there is no need to purchase an additional edging strip). Edging strips can be applied to the width of any of our worktops (up to 900mm).
Cut-outs for overmounted sinks — also known as 'inset' or 'drop-in' sinks — can be routed to any size.
We simply require the sink dimensions in order to create a made-to-measure aperture.
Once your worktop has been delivered, we recommend sealing the exposed edge and the rim of the sink with a clear silicone sealant.
Priced per cut-out.
Cut-outs for built-in hobs can be made to your exact specifications; this allows us to provide hob cut-outs for a wide range of brands.
We highly advise leaving 100mm gap between the end of the worktop and the edge of the cut-out, so that the strength and stability of the work surface is not compromised.
Priced per cut-out.
With our efficient worktop cutting service, we can provide tap hole cut-outs to any size.
A standard tap hole diameter is 35mm, though we ask customers to verify the diameter before we create custom worktop cuts, as there are a number of different sizes on the market.
Once your tap is in situ, we recommend sealing around the base with a clear silicone sealant to prevent water ingress.
Priced per tap hole.
We recommend using a mason's mitre joint as the best method for joining two laminate worktops.
This style of mitre joint is also known as a Butt and Scribe joint or hockey stick joint, as it features a curved cut that resembles the shape of a hockey stick. Three grooves are routed on the underside of each worktop, allowing 'dog bone' worktop connector bolts (supplied) to be fitted.
This technique provides a secure join and wastes less material compared to a traditional 45° mitre joint. We recommend using a worktop sealant between the two worktops when joining to create a water-resistant seal.
