Choosing the right worktop for a dining table

We offer an extensive variety of solid wood worktops, any of which could be used as the surface for a stunning solid wood dining table, though the choice of wood species is really down to your own individual taste and interior design.

Our oak worktops are a dependable choice, featuring a stunning grain pattern and renowned hard-wearing qualities; as such this timber choice makes for an ideal table top in almost any home environment – modern or traditional.

Whether you prefer the look of our standard, Deluxe or full stave worktops, each is perfectly suited to life as a table top in your dining area. All of our worktops are available as 40mm thick surfaces, but some are also available as a 27mm thick variant, which you may find more suitable as a dining table.

If you are looking for something a little more unique for your dining room, then why not employ our fabrication team to create an extra-wide table top? We can also apply smooth radius corners or an edge profile of your choice to make your dining table truly stand out.

For more complex requirements, please send your measurements along with a diagram to our highly-skilled fabrication team, who will turn your design into a CAD template that is compatible with our precision CNC machine. After cutting, your table top will sanded and finished by hand, and a number of coats of oil will be applied to help protect the timber during transit and installation.
