If you have ever wanted a little more room in your bathroom for storing toiletries – or simply want somewhere to mount a countertop basin or wash bowl – our new range of worktops for bathrooms would be ideal.
This new collection of laminate bathroom worktops encompasses a number of unique laminate finishes including wood-effect, stone-effect, and quartz-effect surfaces – one of which is sure to suit your own bathroom’s design.
Choosing Solid Wood or Laminate Worktops for Bathrooms
Our new selection of laminate bathroom worktops has been collated with a range of bathroom designs in mind. These worktops are water-resistant, and are a perfect width for fixing atop bathroom cabinets to provide enough space for mounting a sink.
Whilst these surfaces may be ideal for bathroom environments, we also commonly see customers using our solid wood worktops in bathrooms. If you would prefer to use any of our hardwood surfaces as worktops for bathrooms, we would recommend that you treat them with a suitably hard-wearing and water-resistant lacquer or varnish (rather than the Danish Oil we usually suggest).
Our Range of Laminate Worktops for Bathrooms
Oak Bathroom Laminate Worktop
This wood-effect oak bathroom laminate worktop recreates the look of full stave oak timber, and is ideal for homes with a natural or rustic theme.
These surfaces have a soft post-formed front edge, and measure 485mm in width, but can be cut down to accommodate slimmer bathroom cabinets if needed. Edging strip is included that allows you to finish the worktop edges once cut to size.
Gloss White Worktops for Bathrooms
If you are creating a clean and modern bathroom design, this gloss white bathroom worktop is the perfect choice for covering bathroom cabinets.
This glossy bathroom surface has a smooth post-formed edge profile that looks stunning alongside ceramic sinks and baths. It can be cut to size and re-finished easily using the included edging strip.
Gloss Black Bathroom Worktops
These gloss black bathroom worktops have the same finish as our ‘constellation’ laminate worktops for kitchens – a shiny mottled black and grey effect that looks similar to granite and is ideal for high-contrast modern settings.
These surfaces have a smooth post-formed edge, are resistant to water and scratches, and – at 28mm thick – can be fitted and finished on site without expert equipment.
Stone Effect Laminate Bathroom Worktops
If you are looking for a laminate alternative to marble or granite, this stone effect laminate bathroom worktop is a great choice. The matt surface also has a textured finish that imitates natural stone, adding to the worktop’s realism
This surface features a smooth post-formed edge that makes it a durable and family-friendly choice for bathrooms.
Black Sparkle Worktops for Bathrooms
If you are looking for an ultra-modern surface to finish your bathroom with, these Astral Black bathroom worktops are a top choice. This contemporary surface features real metallic flakes that reflect light, making the worktop sparkle under both natural and artificial illumination.
Like our other laminate worktops for bathrooms, this surface has a smooth post-formed edge and includes edging strip to finish the exposed edges once the surface has been cut to size.
Cover Cabinets with Our Bathroom Worktops
If you are looking for a suitable surface to fix on top of your kitchen storage cabinets, consider one of our laminate bathroom worktops. These specialist surfaces measure 2M in length and are 28mm thick – perfect proportions for use on bathroom cabinets. Of course, you may want to cut the surface to a shorter length, which is relatively easy to do at the point of installation. Edging strip is included to re-finish the ends of each bathroom worktop once it has been cut to size. If you would prefer, the team behind our laminate worktop cutting service can cut the surface to size and make custom holes for water pipes and drainage if you plan on mounting a sink on the surface.
Attaching these worktops to a cabinet is easy using our slotted angled brackets. These brackets allow you to screw the worktops directly onto the cabinets below, providing a sturdy and secure finish.
In certain instances, you may wish to simply screw straight through the top panel of the cabinet and into the underside of the laminate worktops. If doing so, we recommend using a washer and oversized hole on the cabinet to ensure that the surface has a little space to expand and contract with changes in environmental conditions.
If ordering these laminate worktops for bathrooms, we also recommend that you purchase a moisture barrier to protect the underside of the worktop from excessive moisture evaporation. If you are installing two bathroom worktops together, our Worktop Installation Kit includes a selection of useful accessories.
As well as our bathroom worktops, we sell a wide range of laminate worktops for kitchens. Many of these are on display in our worktop showrooms, or you can order a laminate sample pack for just £5 including speedy delivery.
