End grain butchers blocks have just been added to the ever expanding Worktop Express range in 2011!
End grain butcher block worktops are formed in direct contrast to standard worktops, where staves are finger joined horizontally. Instead, end grain worktops are the result of joining and pressure bonding staves in vertical formation. The end grain of the timber is now used as the working area, creating an extremely hardwearing, durable and tactile surface.
Available in oak, maple, walnut and mixed maple / walnut – end grain butcher block worktops can be used to create an incredible kitchen centre piece! Our end grain butcher blocks are currently available in a 1000mm X 620mm X 100mm thick square design, or a 620mm diameter X 100mm thick circular design. For clarification, 3D diagrams are available on the end grain butcher blocks page.
End grain worktops can be cut to size on site, alternatively we can also offer a bespoke service to create an end grain worktop to the exact size / thickness required.
